Taku Wild
Smoked Salmon is currently available with Maple and Pepper flavorings.
In creating our superior salmon products we start with sustainably
harvested wild salmon from the unspoiled Taku River. After it is
smoked using Alderwood, the salmon is flavored and placed in a special
"retort" package, which then goes through a high heat process. This
"retort" package and process preserves the salmon, without any preservatives,
for up to seven years. No refrigeration is required. Although all
five species of pacific salmon spawn in the tributaries of the Taku
River, we prefer to use Sockeye and Coho because they taste the
best. When you open the pouch, the salmon is ready to eat, no cooking
is required, although you can chill or heat it if preferred.
Salmon is high protein, low
cholesterol, and a rich source of Omega-3
fatty acids. In recent years many medical researchers have studied
the health
benefits of eating salmon and other foods rich in Omega-3s as

Taku
Wild Pepper Smoked Salmon is flavored using coarse ground organic
pepper and just a hint of organic garlic. Wild Taku River Sockeye
salmon, spicy pepper and subtle garlic flavors meld into a powerful
and delicious delicacy. This mildly spicy dish makes an excellent
snack, and tastes great when added to
eggs, salads, dips, or casseroles.
